Fortelling
Fortelling: An app/website for meticulously planning your story. Has writing challenges each week and character profiles from appearance, backstory, species, groups they belong to. Can make a timeline and set writing goals. Has plotting, timeline and chapter sections. Mobile and tablet version is free.
Inkarnate
Inkarnate: Web app for creating maps of your fantasy world. Has a free and paid version and different map types and styles
CANVAAAAA
Canva: App and website with graphic designs for creating posters, posts, graphics and so on. Has a paid and free version.
Tarot Cards
Tarot cards: Or any type of cards with vibrant images. Can be used to look at and brainstorm or to quickly get inspiration for a character’s goals/motives
Brainsparker
BrainSparker: Free app (with premium option) that gives you short, creative prompts for creating stories. Useful for writers block.
FightersBLOCK
FightersBlock: A website where you enter a word count target and have to fight a monster as you type. Each word attacks the monster but if you pause for too long you begin to lose health! FightersBlock is a great website that uses the concept of impending doom so you can finally stop staring at that blank page!
